This beautiful Klimt art scarf was inspired by one of the 9 different Cartoons (aka individual paintings) of Klimt's famous Frieze (a broad horizontal band of sculpted or painted decoration) which was commissioned for the Villa Stoclet. This Frieze lined the walls of the villa's dining room and consisted of 3 panels, the Tree of Life at the central part with the Expectation to the left and the Fulfillment to the right. In between to the Tree of Life and The Fulfillment is the inspiration for this scarf, a beautiful work with abstracted butterflies, flowers and leaves among the golden swirls which dominate the Frieze.
