Marshmallow Root Tincture

Marshmallow Root is a healing marsh plant that has a positive, soothing effect on the mucous membranes. This root extract also supports the digestive system and immune system. Helpful for cough and lung renewal, marshmallow is a great multi-purpose herb. But sadly, it does not taste like a smores marshmallow.

Marshmallow is a therapeutic marsh plant, which is not found in sugary marshmallows. Its most useful properties are high levels of mucilage and pectin. Mucilage is soothing to mucous membranes in the throat, stomach, intestines, and urinary tract. Pectin is a soluble fiber that keeps things running smoothing in the digestive tract, and also supports healthy blood sugar levels. Together these substances make marshmallow a useful soothing herb.  

We source our Marshmallow Root from Bulgaria, but this herb has naturalized in locations all over the world. We receive this herb dry and activate the many beneficial properties within the plant through our extraction process.
