The Stoclet Frieze Gustav Klimt was an Austrian symbolist painter, whose primary subject was the female body, however, he is well known for his murals, sketches and even rich tapestry like landscapes. The Stoclet Frieze is a series of three mosaics created by Klimt for a 1905 - 1911 commission for the Palais Stoclet in Brussels. Klimt's eclectic range of influences including Egyptian, Classical Greek and Medieval styles are highlighted in this famous series.
